A successful woman in today’s culture has many doppelgängers. She may be a mother/
lawyer, a sexy divorcée/librarian, an artist/advocate. She has lived long enough to have experienced the twins of success and failure and to enjoy the benefits and lessons of each, including money, security, self-confidence and sophistication. We make clothes in which she may express this double nature of her complicated life.
In that spirit we’ve duplicated and honored the elegance and creativity of previous generations of designers, while eliminating the rigidity and formality of the eras from which they came.
These previous generations remain the ghosts, or guardian angels, of our collections. Our label is vintage inspired: we’ve retro-fitted old patterns for a modern woman (with her busy lifestyle), putting them into new proportions and fabrics.
